what it is to be popular

i've got a huge headache today. been painting for a bit. i hate background work. i really am not enjoying my painting today or last night for that matter. i've got lots of things i want to do and relate but it's a struggle to transcribe the immediacy of emotion into acrylic work. I'm finding it all incredibly frustrating. the paint won't dry fast enough and it's ending up with all this shitty greys and pinks that lack definition and significance. I think it is easier to evoke an emotion when the emotions you are paintings are transcriptions of someone else's feelings and experience (i.e. from music) and not when they are translations of events that mean so much to you that you feel your heart will burst. My point being i guess that i need to get some ultimate chips and doughnuts and visit the places for which those foods are significant.
