Interesting is a subjective word, but...
I've been thinking a lot about the way i want to work, and while I enjoy working with other mediums, I am predominantly a painter. drawing and ceramics fall into second nature to this over arching fact. skills can be acquired to support more interesting dynamics and 'canvasses' to paint on, but i am a painter. This is most important. Short term goals are to get a good painting studio set up with the ability to create ceramics as a secondary goal. because i don't want to be a potter. I am a painter, who in addition to painting on boards, canvas etc also builds forms out of clay and paints on them.

Bi monthly sushi consuming.
Every two months I try to eat sushi because it makes you indestructible*
*a lie

don't get this. it is fucking horribly spicey. i liked the old spicy tuna but this gives me like post traumatic mouth hallucinations when i see the picture or think of it.

this is a pretty rare sushi that is best eaten in the back of a car at night.

i had it all the way up to my hair line.
i read this quote:
"Modern art is no longer the only field in which the deliberate breaking of taboos is the central motivation. It now appears in fields as disparate (and socially important) as commercial advertising; sports, pornography, music and other activities that privilege "performance" and increasingly rely upon specialized pharmaceuticals (Viagra, Human Growth Hormones, steroids, amphetamines and so forth); scientific research, but especially in the fields of "bio-technology," genetic modifications, mutations, and cloning; and the strategic planning and execution of military campaigns. Each one of these fields is, in its way, an "extreme" art that seeks to "shock and awe." Taken together, these various fields constitute a kind of official art, indeed, the official, State-sponsored art of the twenty-first century. "

I can't think of a better explanation as to why 'art' should be a positive experience.
This is what we call a period of adjustment.
Elements have altered and I'm questioning what the possibilities for the future are. I have paintings that now I feel like I want to keep because I might never paint like it again. But that is distraction. I am not painting much because I'm bot smoking and I don't want to go in the garage much. I've also fallen in love with an album to the point that I don't want to anything but listen to it.
I've got some posting to do tomorrow or sorting. But mainly I'm going to the beach alone to lose myself for a while.

Dust piggies shop and stuff
My comic the dust piggies has got a second book coming out soon, The book will be officially announced along with the details of the foreword. Which will be very different to the previous foreword, written by anti folk legend kimya dawson. (remember it's only name dropping if I omit her surname)
The dust piggies online store is available from the dust piggies website. Along with some stuff which will soon become LOADS of stuff. That will be some diy products, Zines, books, badges and other stuff.

Pachow.
Continuing with the inventory of work. Which is taking ages. I'm consolidating my work and it is heavy when it's all together.
I watched a fascinating documentary last night about Tom of finland. It was a very inspiring to hear an interview with a illustrator and artist.

The yawning casm of my bedside
I don't like painting a bit at the moment. Or I did. But now I've had enough. I have been getting into jazz tap recently, my jazz tap lessons are taking up a lot of my time and energy. My feet have started shrinking a bit. Mainly because in order to get into my jazz tap shoes i've been wrapping my feet in fishy cling film.

Tonight fanta will be the glue
Painting. I've finished the first 60x60 in a while. Hopefully it will look good in day light. I have the last 5 40x40 boards completed and will photo and publish them on here once I am ready.
Started a new painting. Which is underpainting at the moment. But if I progress really far on it will depend on the drying of the underpainting. Which has gone on thick and bright. Which means I'll probably be clawing my finger nails out my 3.30am.
