i've done 7 crayon and ink drawings of hamsters. they are from what may one day be referred to as my "hamster period" in the same breath as picasso's blue period or the 80's and 'a flock of seagulls'. i'm selling them on a first come, first served basis. if you want one then email me with your bid and i'll either accept or i won't. they are on A4 paper and they are unframed.

thought for today

just finished painting for the day. it has been a long day of it. completed the painting below and laid the groundwork for another, and furthered the underpainting and forms for the new one. it's at the stage where i become alarmed with the simplicity of the underpainting. this is a recurring post topic. and i need to look further into the painting for a while to fully grasp what it will become. i just want to paint red a lot at the moment. in the end the very bright elements drip away, but the groundwork they make possible then can become something half workable.

I am exhausted however. and i have put alot into these last 3 paintings. i'm practically falling asleep as i am typing. some nice pictures will follow this drivel.

the annual event where i put on a shark fin and get into the coldest sea i can find. this year there was more of an audience towards the end. it was about minus 2 (which i verified on a website as actually being 2 degrees celsius) so here is a picture of it anyway.

These are hamsters enjoying christmas with their scarves. one is pretending to smoke a pipe. i was going to say see if you could spot which one, but then i realised that he's the only one with a red scarf. so essentially i fudged up. merry christmas everrryyyone.

new vocation...

butler? i'm getting lots of practise. wrong hair probably though. i would look a bit like meatloaf, but skinnier.

Cheese plate in use, a little clay picture I made when I was little, cranberry sauce and my paint mixing plate. I want to paint a picture with those colours and I started yesterday but that purple is a shitty base colour to work from.
