Frozen in time (2010)

Something really horrible came out in this painting and i don't like it. it wasn't supposed to be like this, but something happened when the pieces came together. The real thing makes me feel uneasy for some reason. The perspective experiments with arms being arched out of the painting without three dimensions makes it look like dismembered hands, but that's not the idea. I don't normally explain or write about the paintings directly, or haven't done in a long time, but this one felt like it need it. I don't really like it at all. but it seemed right at the time. Anyway, i'll refrain from mentioning that i'm re-changing direction again because it seems a bit daft to constantly go on about it, but this feels like a wake up call. i've got some other bits to finish and then i think i'm going to have an adventure in another direction, but the human body isn't it.
