boring post for today.

started work on a new painting today. trying to go in a different direction. i feel like i want to do some more abstract expressionistic stuff. just because i like the physical sensation of doing it. not so much the final images. i also want to do other stuff. i can't sleep at the moment, but i'm too tired to paint in the cold garage now that i've quit smoking. smoking at least made me feel like a character in a film. now i just feel like a dick in a cold garage.

I also want my paintings to cheer up. and i can only do that by painting loads. to paint out the whatever is about that is shitty. i just feel like i'd rather being drawing cartoons which are funny and comparatively quicker.
