Thought for the night.

Abstraction isn't about inventing a term so that you can lazily splash paint around or generally make crap that means nothing. It's like scraping a bit of butter on a piece of cardboard and calling it hot buttered toast.

Abstraction is about simplifying the infinite complexity of something. This case painting. Creating abstraction is not something to be lost in. Once that happens then you have abandoned abstraction.
