Mikey Welsh.

Mikey Welsh died on October the 8th. Which is sad news. Mikey was a painter in my knowledge and apparently was also the bassist for weezer before he had a breakdown and began painting. His work was colourful, intense and interesting and I found it inspiring because of the apparent lack of inhibition in his mark making and eye for colour. I had an email conversation with him once and he seemed like a really humble guy. Although it was email and he could have been tired, bored or uninterested.
