thought for today

just finished painting for the day. it has been a long day of it. completed the painting below and laid the groundwork for another, and furthered the underpainting and forms for the new one. it's at the stage where i become alarmed with the simplicity of the underpainting. this is a recurring post topic. and i need to look further into the painting for a while to fully grasp what it will become. i just want to paint red a lot at the moment. in the end the very bright elements drip away, but the groundwork they make possible then can become something half workable.

I am exhausted however. and i have put alot into these last 3 paintings. i'm practically falling asleep as i am typing. some nice pictures will follow this drivel.
